Photographer Stephan Schacher put both his stomach and self-discipline to the test on a road trip through the U.S. and Canada. His artistic goal was to document the world of the diner. Stopping only at diners along his route, he ordered standard diner fare and paused to photograph the steaming hot meals-and the waitresses who served them-before he ate. The result is a photo essay filled with fun images of a cultural phenomenon that belongs to both Canada and the United States.
